2015’s been good to me. I’ve moved to a beautiful new flat in the West End, embarked on post-graduate study, been on international adventures and met some wonderful new people.

In the interests of making the forthcoming year even better than the last, I though I’d share a few of my resolutions for 2016. I’ve never been very good at denying myself pleasure, so perhaps it’s no coincidence that all these resolutions focus on getting a little more of everything. I’ll do my very best to stick to them, but if I don’t, hopefully I’ll find someone to reprimand me in an agreeable fashion.

  • Travel more

I’m a London girl through and through, but that might be changing, following a sun drenched sojourn to Portugal with the beautiful Alex Rayne (whose recap is here dear readers).  I’ve taken to international travel like a duck to water (or should that be the pond?), and have my sights set on more Europe next year. My French may be terrible but kink is an international language, and it’s one I speak fluently.

  •  Switch more

Until recently, I’ve always identified primarily as a submissive. However, 2015 was the year this all started to shift. The more I’ve explored the dominant side of my sexuality, the more I’ve started to experience its electrifying charge. That’s not to say my submissive tendencies have diminished – far from it. Rather, I’m starting to enjoy both roles equally, and to identify as more of a switch. In the months ahead, I plan to be donning my spikiest stilettos and exploring these dominant power dynamics further. I’m also going to use my magnificent four poster bed to full effect, as with enough rope and an imagination as filthy as mine, the options for tying up naughty boys are endless.

  •  Learn more about wine

Over a recent dinner at Alain Ducasse’s Dorchester outpost, my charming companion asked me what I’d like to drink. For one brief moment I considered trying to bluff my way through a Michelin starred wine list, before eventually admitting, shamefaced, that my wine knowledge leaves rather a lot to be desired. Pop me down in any corner of London and I’ll navigate you to the best martini within 100 yards, but sadly I’m clueless when it comes to distinguishing a cabernet sauvignon from a sauvignon blanc. Luckily, as a wine buff himself, my partner ordered admirably, but not before a little good natured teasing. So, in the coming year, I’m determined to fill in the gaps of my knowledge, one bottle at a time.

  •  Blog more

I’m been a little slack on the blogging front this year, and in 2016 I’m determined to bring all you lovely perverts more regular updates from my boudoir. Having been admonished by a few lovers for the lack of new posts, consider my knee-high socks officially pulled up. I owe a big ‘thank you’ to those that read and commented on my (erratic) posts this year. And if there’s any particular topics you’d like me to write about, suggestions are always very welcome.

  •  Explore more

If you’ll pardon the innuendo, sexuality is an incredibly slippery beast. For many of us, it’s subjective, varied and constantly evolving. As a result, even though I have made pleasure my business, I never feel comfortable calling myself an ‘expert’. Gaining an in-depth understanding of human sexuality is an ongoing process, and I prefer to consider myself more of an erotic adventuress. In 2016, I hope that I can continue delving deeper into the dense, heady world of sexual desire. Every new kink or fetish I encounter broadens my horizons, and leaves me hungry for more. So my final resolution is to seek out more connections with new lovers, to experience different forms of pleasure, and to learn more about my own sexual identity in the process.

I think that’s enough to be getting on with, don’t you? Whatever your resolutions are, I hope that your 2016 begins with a bang, and that our paths will cross in the year to come.
